Knit Today Issue 22 Issue 22 on sale now
There’s a whole host of designs to get your needles excited this month and as the weather hots up, you might want to take a short break from winter reminders and try some other projects. Top of the list must be the Noni bag festooned with tulips. Its lovely curves and modern shape will certainly turn everyone green with envy as you carry it. Another dazzler is the Emerald Dazzle dress that has a figure-hugging fit that is perfect for summer parties and surprisingly easy to knit. If you are dreaming of lazy afternoon teatimes out on the lawn then get straight to work on the fabulous teacosy with its nostalgic look topped off with a buzzy bee. There are of course, lots of things to add tour wardrobe with soft pink vintage-look deep V-neck top, lace edged jacket in a luxurious silk/wool mix, a crochet pearl-buttoned short-sleeve jacket and asymmetric necked, ribbed sweater. With super socks your man will love, a lacy butterfly bolero for little girls and a tanktop and sweater for boys, there is something for everyone in this issue.

Replica Rib Masterclass Designing from Scratch – Part 2 – Masterclass
It is easy to find elements of lots of different patterns which you like, but not so easy to find one definitive pattern which contains them all. More often than not you may wish to change the neckline, the length of the sleeve and body for example, or you may have found the perfect pattern and the perfect yarn, only to find that the two don’t go together.
Following on from last month’s Design Masterclass, in this issue I aim to show you how to change elements of an existing pattern, how to change a pattern from one weight of yarn to another ply, and how to recreate an old favourite which may be lurking at the back of the wardrobe.

Replica Rib
This is the pattern inspired by one of Jane’s favourite shaped tops. The rib and the slightly stretchy Calmer yarn gives the jumper an elastic fit that is very flattering. The offset neckline and line of eyelets up the front give the garment professional design styling touches that make it a delight to wear.
